"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also
called: and whom he called, them he also justified:
and whom he justified, them he also glorified
(Romans 8:30). "
Jesus is all-powerful. But just like in the book of
Hebrews that tells us about those who had the
possibility of deliverance but rejected deliverance, that
they might have a greater glory (Hebrews 11:35), Jesus
accepted the death on the cross. He laid down His
glory, and suffered for us. The Bible says He gave up
everything for our sake (Philippians 2:7 CEV). Today
in heaven, He’s crowned with all glory and majesty.
He’s the glorified Christ.
Now, 1 John 4:17 tells us something profound. It
says, “…as he (the glorified Jesus) is, so are we in this
world.” It doesn’t say, “…as he was, so are we.” We’re
as He is NOW!
He’s the second and last Adam, because He heads
the new creation of which we’re a part. Hallelujah! So,
you’re not from the first Adam; you can’t be traced
to him. When you’re in Christ, there’re no records
that trace you to the first Adam, because the Bible
says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We’re partakers, as well as bearers, of His glory.
