The Wisdom of God: Our Reliable Teacher

Wisdom says that He was with God long before God created anything (Proverbs 8:22-31). So when a person listens to the words of Wisdom and is taught by Him, they have access to knowledge and understanding that are beyond this world, and that are beyond time and space, for Wisdom says, "I was set up from everlasting (eternity)..." (Proverbs 8:23). Wisdom also created all things and has absolute knowledge and understanding.

All of these things can help you to understand that statement of truth made by David: "Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies... I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts." (Psalm 119:98-100). He also said, "Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:104). He was able to say these things because the words of God are the words of Wisdom and Understanding, for He is Wisdom and Understanding (Proverbs 8:14).

God has perfect and absolute (full, complete) knowledge and understanding of all things, and out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6); so when you listen to Him, and endorse and meditate on His words, you gain His knowledge and understanding, and become immensely wise, intelligent and understanding. You surpass those who don't listen to Him and haven't listened to Him. The more of the Word of God you know and understand, the wiser and more perceptive you are and become.

The words of God come from His heart and mind, where there is deep, accurate and full knowledge and understanding, and they are expressed to you in the form of vocabulary (words are thoughts embodied within, and clothed with vocabulary); the words of God carry images (or pictures) in them, for thoughts are pictures of the mind, and "words are thoughts embodied within, and clothed with vocabulary". So when you have communion with the Wisdom of God you get to see into parts of that deep, knowledgeable and understanding heart and mind of God. (Communion means: "the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially on a mental or spiritual level"). This explains why, through the Word of God, you can have more knowledge, wisdom and understanding than your enemies, your teachers, and the "wise old/older people" (Psalm 119:98-100).

No wonder the Apostle John declared, "But the anointing (the Holy Spirit) which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie..." (1 John 2:27); "But ye have an unction (anointing) from the Holy One, and ye know all things." (1 John 2:20). Glory to God!

"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for He shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you." (John 16:13-15).
