Choose to love according to the Word of God, otherwise you will fall into disadvantage. If you're feeling discouraged and unmotivated, this is the time you ought to seek God the most, otherwise you are vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy, and he seeks to devour you. He is seeking an opportunity to wipe you out. He is ready to attack and looking to attack. The way he does that is by drawing you away from God slowly, so that when you're drawn away, he can strike when you are weak. They don't play fair. Be wise and stick to God and to His Word. Don't allow anybody or anything to draw you away, to keep you from feeding on His Word, that is where your strength comes from. If you don't eat or pray, you will become weak. So keep listening to messages and reading your Bible and praying and speaking in tongues, because God will use all of these things to talk to you and to strengthen you. Don't be deceived, a life without (outside) God is meaningless and vain, it'll surely take a person to Hell. Don't seek those things that are outside God, His Word and His Spirit are your Counsellor when you are demotivated, your Doctor when you are sick, your Light when you're in darkness, your Strength when you are weak. "Life is not about anything in this world except your relationship with the Holy Spirit." There is so much glory, light, strength, life and hope in the Word of God, that is where God wants you to draw strength, light, hope, joy, wisdom etc. from; not anywhere else or from anything else. Make God your source for everything and you have a sure and eternal source. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." (Colossians 3:1-2)
Even if you're feeling discouraged, stick to God's Word and keep seeking Him, that's the only way to recover in Him. Remember Jesus' teaching about the two builders: one built his life on the Word and survived, the other didn't and suffered (Matthew 7:24-27). There is sure and certain hope for you if you stick to the Word. God says that His people suffer from lack of knowledge. Knowledge is your strength. The Bible says, "A man of of knowledge increases strength." Keep feeding on God's Word and acting on it, that's the only sure way to get back up and win. The Holy Spirit will help you, but He uses His Word to minister to you and lift you up. Look up Daniel 10:19. The Apostle John wrote, "...I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives (abides) in you, and you have overcome the evil one..." (1 John 2:14) The Word of God abiding in your heart is your strength and advantage over the world and the devil. God is in you, He's walking and talking in you; He wants you to open your mind and your heart to His Words so that He can help you. Spirtual knowledge is very important; so don't despise or neglect it. Also look at 1 Peter 2:12-21 in a few versions
