Proverbs 10:12 says, "...love covers all wrongs." One of the greatest things that God has revealed and demonstrated to us, is His great love for us. He doesn't count our mistakes against us, but He overlooks our mistakes and our errors and gives us the chance and the opportunity to correct them. The Bibles says, "But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ..." (Ephesians 2:4-5, AMP). HE LOVED US WHEN WE WERE IN SIN, NOT WHEN WE WERE PERFECT AND RIGHT--HE DIDN'T WAIT FOR US TO BECOME RIGHT AND PERFECT FIRST, AND HE SENT JESUS TO DIE FOR US BECAUSE OF THAT LOVE! SO, IS HE GOING TO LOVE US LESS NOW IF WE MAKE MISTAKES AND DO WRONG? CERTAINLY NOT! In Romans 8:38-39, He makes it very clear that absolutely nothing can or will ever separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus; that nothing can or will ever stop God from loving us.
God isn't easily angered, nor quick to condemn. He has revealed many times in His word that when and if we do wrong, and He shows us that we are wrong, He's not showing us to bring us down, to discourage us nor to destroy us, but for us to listen to Him and correct it with His help! The Bible says, "Whom the Lord loves, He corrects." In Hebrews 4:15, he says, "Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin." Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses, and He wants us to call on Him to help us when and if we make errors and mistakes; and when and if we are facing temptations! He doesn't want us to be weighed down by the consciousness of our sins; He doesn't want us to condemn ourselves and run away from Him because we've done wrong. He says, "Therefore He (Jesus) is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25): that means that no matter how deep in trouble you are or if you have made mistakes, Jesus is able (has the power and authority) to always pull you out of that situation and strengthen you in time of need because He always lives to make intercession for you! And why does He make intercession for you? To strengthen you, to help you, and minister to you at just the right time in times of trouble, weakness, temptation, discouragement and difficulty.
So He says, "Son! Daughter! My strength is made perfect in your weaknesses, so don't depart and run away from Me because of your weaknesses and your wrongs, but come and run to Me so that I may make those weaknesses perfect. For when you are weak, then are you strong: for My Spirit that is in you is your strength and your Strengthener. He helps you with your weaknesses for He makes intercession for you with groanings that cannot be uttered. Take heart, do not be discouraged, for I am your Helper; take full advantage of the blessings that I have made available to you. I have told you to come with boldness and confidence to My throne of grace to take the help that you need: so come, take as much grace as you have need of in your life, for more than enough has been made available to you forever!"
