Jesus said:
"Everyone the Father gives to Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My will, but the will Him who sent Me."
"This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up on the last day."
"For this is the will of My Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
(John 6:37-40)
Don't forget that eternal life isn't just living forever, but it is the God kind of life (God's life, the highest form and way of life); it is a life of righteousness, a life of peace, a life of dominion and success, a life of perfection, glory and beauty, a life of love, a life of joy, a life of excellence, greatness and virtue, a life of perfect, sound and true wisdom, knowledge and understanding (insight), a life in the light - a complete and full life, nothing good, perfect and pleasant missing, and nothing good, perfect and pleasant lacking. He says, in 2 Peter 1:3, that , "... His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and to godliness...who called us by (and to) glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers (sharers, participators) of the divine nature (God-kind)..."

Jesus also said (whilst praying to the Father):
"I...pray...for those who will believe in Me...; that they all may be one, as you, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me, I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."
"Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that you sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
(John 17:20-26)

God cares about where you are today (now) and where you are going; He cares about your future! And He has said:
"...I know the plans I have for you...plans for your welfare (well-being, health, happiness, comfort, safety, prosperity, protection, advantage, success, good), not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
"Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord..."
(Jeremiah 29:11-14)
