What you feed your mind is what your mind will give back to you. It is the things that a person's mind is exposed to and that he/she endorses that will rule and control his/her mind; and in turn, control and direct his/her life. The easiest way for things to get into a person's mind is by hearing and by seeing: (the words that they hear and the things that they see). The music that a person listens to; the shows, programs and movies that they watch and listen to; and the people that they spend their time with, are the things, words, images, characters and personalities that will enter a person's mind and eventually become part of or most of that person's character, personality and their way of thinking and reasoning. And this is where a lot of people mess up, fail, lose and get it wrong;because they watch and listen to the wrong people and the wrong things: they allow their minds and lives to be influenced by foolish, godless and evil people and things (things and people that they see and hear on tv, the internet etc.)! And a lot of people have failed to realise that this is one of the main things that brings and causes failure, confusion, destruction, frustration, misery, depression and many other unpleasant and disadvantageous things into their lives. God's counsel and teaching in the Bible is this, "THE ONE WHO WALKS WITH THE WISE BECOMES WISE, BUT THE COMPANION (FRIEND, ASSOCIATE) OF FOOLS WILL SUFFER HARM." When He says "the wise" here, He's talking about people who know and understand Him, His ways and things about Him! And He says that when and if you associate yourself with those who are wise with His wisdom; with His knowledge and His understanding, and allow your mind and life to be influenced by them, you too will become wise: but if you associate yourself with "fools" you will suffer. What is a fool in God's eyes though? I'll show you; in the Bible, He says, "THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART, 'THERE IS NO GOD'..." so a fool is a person who doesn't know or acknowledge God; and of course the fool is also a simple, ignorant and naive person who lacks wisdom, understanding, judgement and discretion. God Himself is wise, in fact He is the wisest of all: and He says, "Don't envy or desire to be like a person who doesn't know God, don't walk in his path or envy any of his ways or belongings." And He also says, "BLESSED (HAPPY, FORTUNATE, TO BE ENVIED) IS THE PERSON WHO DOESN'T TAKE THE GODLESS ADVICE OF GODLESS MEN AND WOMEN, NOR ALLOWS THEMSELF TO BE INFLUENCED BY THEM OR ANY OF THEIR WAYS. BUT TAKES GREAT PLEASURE IN GOD AND HIS WAYS."God wants you to know Him; all human beings were made to know God: and a person's life and soul will never ever be truly fulfilled and complete without them knowing God and having Him in his/her life. And a person cannot begin to truly know and understand God without receiving Jesus Christ, because He is the ONLY way and the ONLY access to God. If you haven't received Him into your life, speak out and ask Him to come into your life today and put your faith and trust in Him. He will make your life beautiful, successful, extraordinarily peaceful and complete forever! And ask God for His Spirit to come and live in you and with you: it is His good pleasure to give you these things, so that you might enjoy and benefit greatly from them. At the beginning of this post, I spoke about how your mind and life are controlled and ruled by the things that you hear and are exposed to; what God does to influence your mind and life in the paths of true success and victory, is that He gives you His Spirit, His Word (the Bible) and other men or women who have His Spirit in them and know Him, to teach you and influence you in these paths.
