FAITH CHANGES THE WORLD

By . Idoko Felix Ojonumi

Twelve men were chosen and sent by Moses to Canaan to spy the land. This took them forty days and then, ten of the men came back full of doubt. Only two men Joshua and Caleb came with another report because they had another spirit. That fateful day, Majority carried the vote. Even Moses could not resist them. They transfered that spirit of doubt to every other person in the camp and caused the people to refuse to see the Almightiness of God...this God who has been fighting for them since Egypt. This singular act cost them, all of them, their promised land except Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh. For each of those 40 days spent in the wilderness God made it for a year. That was how they spent another whole forty years wandering in the wilderness till their eventual death one after the other. Terrible you may say. That is what doubt could do to a man. A simple antidote to this wouldn't have been anything more or less than just a little act of faith. Joshua and Caleb were faith-full. They were not carried away with the crowd. They knew the God they carry on their inside. While the others saw themselves as grasshoppers they saw themselves as giants in the hands of God. God never failed them. Throw away that grasshopper mentality and become a mighty tool in the hands of this Mighty God. You will be the better for it. FAITH CHANGES THE WORLD. You know, God Cannot Be Wrong.
