BEAUTIFUL IS THE SMILE

Beautiful is the smile that comes from the heart Glorifies the face and sets it apart in a world where all seem to smell doom.
it pays to see a face not full of gloom
Like a priceless ornament it adorns the face
And like a soothing balm it ministers with grace
Healing to both the wearer and beholder alike
Courage in knowing there's still some good left of life
Like a burning candle sticking out in thick darkness
It brings a spark of hope to a life devoid of brightness
And like the first rays of a rising sun
It brings warmth to help weather a storm
It is "I love you" to the broken hearted
It is "You mean so much to me" to the rejected
It is "All will be well" to the hurting and suffering
It is "Jesus is there and He cares" to the perishing
It is one way to preach good tidings unto the meek
A sure way to bind up the broken-hearted and weak
It can proclaim liberty to them captives of life
And show the bound there's a way out of the prison they're inside
So if you say the Spirit of the Lord God be upon you
and if you say He has anointed you in truth
Then with your smile proclaim you the year of your Lord
And with it comfort you all that in your zion do mourn
By it give you beauty to them that are ashes having
And oil of joy to all them that are mourning
With it give you a garment of praise to the heavy spirit
That to your Lord will be always His due glory
